A private commission completed in March 2020 to draw an elevation drawing of each of the four walls that formed this tenement kitchen. The family were leaving this flat after many years, this room was the heart of the home and full of fond memories. The drawing hoped to faithfully record this space. A section drawing would only have been able to show one of these walls, so the elevations studies show the complete room, and its atmosphere and inhabitation within the home. The elevations were aligned side by side, to reflect the reality of the walls meeting at corners. Each elevation has a particular character and function within the space, the window seat with dining table on one, the sink on the next, a pulley above the door the next, and finally the oven and hob top inhabiting the fourth.
